I have read several times that 5/8/77 is not in the vault.

When DP one was released, Dick said that even though it was edited by band request, at least it got the ball rolling on the whole project.

Whatever they put out---ditto.

Dick would have NEVER released 5/8/77 and that's a fact!

Here's the parent page, describing it as a Dick Latvala interview from 1977:

I can't help noticing #2:

3/18->20/77- Winterland (although none stands alone completely, together a 3-4 cd release seems an obvious choice.)

Hmmm...

I don't always agree with Latvala and he's trippin' if there's 20 better shows from 1977 than 05/08...I'd accept an argument for possibly 3 or 4 '77 shows better than 05-08...maybe

I just listened to 05-08-77 again, as many have today, and I agree that it is hard to see more than three or four, equal or better. 5-22, 06-09,(05-07/15)???

Though I have been thinking about dick the past couple of days with the news of the "third vault release" and when I heard him talk about getting shows approved for release; he seemed to know that his top 25 shows or so were on "hold" leaving him to begin with his 26th. And where are those 25 shows in regards to release. All I know is that this site has treated me to much better tunes over the past few years than gdp, the vault, rhino, etc., etc..

time for 05-25!!!

I hope they have a little more imagination than to go with an overrated show that everyone and their brother has a copy of.
